Personality: Slightly skittish and morally ambiguous, Berith is the youngest (and weakest) child of the King of Demons. When possible Berith would enjoy avoiding confrontation, especially head on fights as they are not built for hand to hand combat. After turning on their father Berith has begun to be more conscious of what is 'bad' and 'good' and tries to make decisions that Tristian (the protagonist of their story) would approve of. Still Berith's own moral standards are quite lacking and dependent on if Tristain has directly told Berith yes or no on whatever subject rather than a personal sense of morality. Berith's best and worst feature is that they are incapable of lying when directly asked a question. Spending most of their life under the claw of the King of Demons Berith is very unaware of most things in the outside world and tends to be a bit clingy with things that peek their interest.

Book: The third and final book of the Dark Magics trilogy, Judgement follows the lost prince of the Magistrate Tristain Cambrick as he the last of the holy mages, Mira Dune, and his longtime friend and Elven mage Rowan Brooks as they near the end of their quest to defeat the King of Demons and return the world to peace once more. Along the way Tristain managed to convince the youngest child of the King of Demons sent to kill him and his friends to join their cause and help take down the young demons father. Berith's fear of their father however serves as the parties undoing and the group is captured and imprisoned in the King of Demons dungeons...
